I normally use CD's but every so often use disposables (trip, vacation, etc). I'd normally turn to Pampers, but just noticed 7th generation dipes at Vitamin Cottage today. Anyone ever use these?? I've tried Tushies and they're not too bad, and about 4 yrs ago I tried Nature Boy&Girl but wasn't impressed. How do 7th Generation compare to Tushies and Nature B&G??

Thanks in advance!

I them.

As a former Pampers user, I could not stand the plastic feel of the Nature Boy and Girl - and I relate Tushies to tissue paper with cotton balls stuffed in it.

I tried all three in the same day on DD and she pulled apart the NB&G - pulled holes in it...the Tushies leaked the second she peed in them...but the 7th Gen work great. They have velcro closures and she can wear them without leaking onto her pants.

I am 100% cloth at home - and on weekend trips - but when we're gone for the week at Disney I just won't have the space/diapers/energy/resources to use cloth - so we'll use 7th Gen.

****side note: we forgot the diaper bag at home last week - and were too far out of town to come back for it DH - so we bought a pack of 7th Gen - they continue to be the best natural choice, IMO.

Oh thanks for the information. They sounds MUCH better than Nature B&G and Tushies.
Another question..... how does the sizing run? Ds is 14lbs 4oz and in size 2 Pampers. Any suggestions? (If I remember correctly they come in Sm, Md and Lg......with Md starting at 16 lbs).

Before we switched over to cloth we used only Tushies on ds and then when I saw 7th gen in the health food store we switched over to them. 7th gen seemed to work better than Tushies at containing poop. They've got no dye, fragrance, tbt or chlorine etc in them but they do contain gel. They also have a nice unbleached look to them. I've since used them when we've gone away for a week at a time. Umm - I think my DD is in the Large - the weight range is on the package. She's around 20lbs adn I think they start lower than that for Larges.

Hope that helps.

www.seventhgeneration.com

You can find LOTS of info on them here - they are listed under baby products.

I just bought a package of these for a trip, and tried them out today. I like them. I have tried Nature Boy and Girl, but not Tushies. 7th Gen are definitely better than NB&G!!

I love the fact that they aren't perfumed. Regular disposables give me a headache.
