My DD has always been a good sleeper. From about two months of age, she would sleep from 9 pm to 4 am and her waking time got later as time went on. She would usually sleep until 5 or 6 and then I'd bring her into our bed and she'd sleep another hour or two. She sleeps in our room in a crib as she has always slept better this way.

About a month ago (she is just 8 months old) she started waking up once or twice at night. This has now progressed to waking up every two hours. She always wants to nurse when she wakes up. Then she'll nurse for 10-15 minutes and be sound asleep again.

I know I shouldn't complain after all those months of uninterrupted sleep, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what this is about. I'm guessing it could be teething (she has 4 teeth but hasn't had any more for over 2 months), separation anxiety, developmental stuff (she's on the cusp of crawling), or a combination of all those? Or maybe she's just being a baby??
