Well, on Sunday we ripped out the 'wet' side of the kitchen and tonight dh and some friends put the upper cabinets on. Woot! Lord willing, I will have a dishwasher before this babe is born (been living without one for a year).

I fell on the stairs tonight so I wasn't much help. I was trying to take it easy because I was feeling a little sore.

Dishes in the tub are not the ideal, let me tell you.

I hope you get your dishwasher!

Im not due until the very END of January (29th), so Im a little over 30 weeks right now.

The last few months have been reconstruction at our house too. We JUST finished the tile in our living room and hallway and got back my dining area, kitchen and living room from what it was. We literally lived in the back part of our house for like 2 months, eating, sleeping everything in the bedrooms because the whole front of the house was torn up.

But now we are so close to having the baby, you feel like you have so much more to do!! I told hubby no more construction until after the baby is born and we are settled!

It feels good to have it finished though!

We were doing that before my daughter was born. Like, right before. My husband tore out a wall and the next day we went to Ikea to buy cabinets. That night my water broke three weeks early, and my daughter was born two days later. I tried to tell him to walk slower in Ikea! I still tease him about causing our daughter to be born early. I was exhausted when we were done. We thought we had 3 more weeks to get the kitchen at least mostly done. She is 2.5 now and it's still not done! Though most of it was done... when she was a year old. We just have to do some tile and paint for the most part. Good luck on getting it all done!!

sunshadow, that sounds like our home improvement projects. we redid our bathroom last year, still no trim. Our bedroom (in the basement) only has about 2/3 of the sheetrock up. I don't really care, though.

Our kitchen is a three stage project. 1) Wet side. 2) Pantry side. 3) Wall between living room and kitchen down.

I can be patient as we don't like debt, so things go slllooooowwlly.

Plus, dh has been working on a huge project at work that is just now winding down. Maybe he'll have spare time again!!
