maybe y'all are already clued into this, but i just did it today, so i am sharing.
i went to www.organicbebe.com and they have an option to register. so i did, just for kicks. well, the registry option allows you to add items FROM ANY WEBSITE! which is great for us cloth diapering mamas, but also for anyone who likes to shop a bunch of sites. another company acts as a kind of clearinghouse, and people can even make partial payments on big items like car seats, for example: your mom, dh's mom and your cousin could all log in and put $75 toward your britax marathon, all at different times and without even talking to each other! felicite.com is the clearinghouse site, and they just hold the payments until the item is paid for and then they ship it to you. you can even designate certain dates as being unacceptable for you to recieve gifts!
but i just thought it was great to be able to use organicbebe to add some newborn diapers to the list, and then go to peppermint.com and add the exact sling that i want to my registry!
it's not like i need a whole lot for this baby, but if i can get family to buy us another car seat and the sling and some newborn diapers, we will have it made!

No lie - a couple days ago I had the thought "gee, wouldn't it be cool to create a website that would let you register for baby stuff and wedding stuff from a variety of sites?"

And voila , it is done. Except it won't be my big, money making, never have to work another day in my life unless I really want to, situation : Ah well....... back to the drawing board
