My lovable 2 year-old scribbled all over one of the walls with black crayon today. Daddy was washes dishes and didn't notice the crime. How do I get it off? We have icky white matte paint that seems very hard to clean. We do plan on painting it soon (orange
), but I know I have to clean it first. There are also a lot of fingerprints and smudges on another wall that I'm unsure of how to clean off. A rag with hot water hasn't worked. A friend suggested Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but I don't know if that's toxic or a threat to the environment.
We have a beige rug that has become a mess in since March when we first moved in. We rent, so this carpet has to be spotless whenever we move out. I cannot afford to rent a carpet cleaner. One of Santa's Elves told me my mom got me a Bissell Little Green Machine for Christmas. I would like to try to get some stains out beforehand so I don't have to be embarassed when company and maintainance come over. The stains have all sorts of origins; kiddie food goo, cat vomit, cat pee, cat poo and God knows what else. FWIW, two of my cats had both urinary and intestinal issues over t he past couple of months. Otherwise, they are well-behaved and don't potty outside the box. Can I scrub my carpets with something? I try to clean them right away when I see the offensive aciton taking place. I use my usual cleaner which is a mix of water, vinegar and Dr. Bronner's. I didn't know if I could shampoo them by hand with some hot water, Dr. Bronner's and a scrubbie brush.
