I've read a number of people say 12-14 per day, so I'm aiming for 28 just in case. HTH!

yep seriously one cloth diaper buy a day will keep the need for sposies away LOL. Ok anyway seriously How many diapers do you need in a day to diaper a new born? How many would you need to get through two days with out washing?

I think we had about 10 per day but I also let her be naked lots. We sort of used receiving blankets and chucks pads! She was a lotus baby, so for the first few days while her placenta was still attached we didnt leave the bed and she was naked most of the time.
24-36 fitteds & 10,000 wool covers.

Two full days Umm like 40 LOL, actually I'm serious I went through tons of diaper in the newborn phase and these were messy diapers I plan to get two dozen and just wash when I need to some days it will be two days others twice a day, no biggie in my mind.

C is 2.5mo and somedays we still go through 15+/day. Thats esp true if I change him a couple times at night (and I've gotten in the habit of changing him mid-night too when I go to bed). I'd say the fewest we've gone through in a day might've been 12? He pees/poops pretty often still and if I feel his diaper and its at all wet I change it. So I'd say we need at least 30 still to get through 2 days. But if they get caught in a laundry cycle...what do I do? So really I'd say up to 36, which is what the PFs help with and some of those used "works but not great" kind of diapers.
We only have problems with poop on covers every couple of days-- so that hasn't been an issue. But I'm loaded for bear on covers anyway.
