I have read here a lot about people's hemp getting stiff after awhile. I've never had that problem and I've had several kinds of hemp fabrics over the years. Well today I dried on high heat because my new dipes are still being broken in, and I had some hemp liners in there too. They were so stiff! I compared them to some that had been washed previously and yep, the old ones were much softer, like a t-shirt. I think it's the high heat. Normally I dry on low heat for a longer amt. of time, but today was trying to rough up the diapers to break them in.

Cool thanks, I have been line drying mine and tossing them in the dryer for a couple minutes to soften them and they don't alway come out soft. Too dry obviouslessly.

Hmmmm...I don't have a problem with stiff hemp. I dry on medium heat.

However, the one time I had stiff hemp was the one time I hung mine in the sun to dry! I'm talking STIFF like cardboard!!! I had to wash and dry them in the dryer a few times to get them back to their prior softness.

Has anyone ever had my experience?
