Most of my friends are around the age of having kids, but none of us are except me :0)

I am taking this opportunity to let them all know that there's no way I'd circ a son if my child is a boy. I tell them this loudly, I've also told them about the restoration I started, the slacked off on and may get back to.

Well, after months of feeling like I talk to people who shine me on and basically try to pacify what I am saying to change subjects I had one of the least likely friends I'd affect send me an IM today.

He started the conversation talking about how some of his friends outside of our group are having kids and eventually the topic of Circ comes up and they say 'of course I am going to circ!' and my friend has changed his response of 'oh, ok' to 'why? Why have any unnessary surgeries on a newborn?'

So I have helped him not only see the flaws in circ logic but he is actively being an intactivist, even if he doesn't know the name of it yet :0)

After talking to him today his big gripe is with societal norms, and why people just go along with things that if you sat back and think about it is an obvious flaw in logic. He is talking about presidential elections, life, his family, religions. Everything he can logically sit back and think 'why do we do that?'

And after talking to me over the past year or so he realized he himself was in one of those societal norm ruts and he got upset with himself and became anti-circ.

Just thought I would share a bit of good news.

It's like dropping a pebble in this side of a pond and seeing the lilies bob up and down on the other side.
