He wasn't a close frined or anything, but he used to play guitar sometimes in a band I sang with sometimes. He played a wise man in the Christmas show.<br><br>

that's horrible. isn't it an awful feeling? one of my best friends in high school introduced me a few times to a family friend who was her brother's tutor. he later became a school teacher. her brother always made fun of him behind his back, saying he was weird. he offered to drive me and my friend to a school dance. anyway, they caught him a year or so ago. made me physically ill.<br><br>

Ugh. I had this experience with a man in Hawaii. He was supposedly a "motivational" guy who was working with our company. I disliked him the moment I met him - he was just fake and seemed deviant. Stewart was his name. When he was busted for child porn I nearly passed out. No wonder I got such a sick vibe from him. I have heard reports about how porn is a mulit million dollar industry. I wonder how many people involved in it are not participating in it directly (like molesting children personally or getting off on viewing it) but benefiting from it financially.<br><br>
For instance, I wonder if this guy has had any inappropriate contact with his own two children? Or is he just running a porn site and making money off of it? I have no idea how these things are run or how the money is funnelled thru it.....I'm just thinking out loud.<br><br>
I guess a similar situation to what I am wondering would be the drug dealer who never touches the stuff, just makes his profit.<br><br>
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to imply he's less of a bad guy if he's just making money. Everybody victimizing children is scum!

My grade school principal was convicted of child molestation when I was in highschool.<br>
I was one of his "pets", though he never molested me. I am certain I was being "groomed" though.<br><br>
One summer day when I was 11, he stopped by our house out of the blue. Isn't that totally weird? It's not like my parents knew him or anything. Thank God my mom was home, and I wasn't.<br><br>

With my DH working for a PD, I learned long ago that you trust NO ONE!!! Quite honestly, it seems like the only people I trust around my DD are friends of his from work and a couple of mama's from here that I know IRL.<br><br>
It's a sad state of affairs to feel this way, but I feel like it's the only way I can protect her. I've seen people I thought I knew be in similar circumstances.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug"> mama... DH's supervisor at his old job got caught with child porn on his pc. I don't even think he got more than community service and probation out of it. Hmph!<br><br>
