My son visited a friend recently and his mama served them Campbell's Tomato soup for lunch.
Kieran has Celiac's disease and has been on the Body Ecology Diet for some time now with great results. I sent snacks and food for lunch so that she would have something to feed him that he likes/is allowed to eat/is familiar with, but she still allowed him to have the soup. And he loved it.

Now all I hear about at every meal is "strawberry" soup. So, do you have a recipe for a creamy(ish), plain, Campbells-style tomato soup that is healthy? He's not supposed to have tomatoes on the B.E.D., but I'm going to try to re-introduce them in this form and see what happens.

TIA!

Is it the sugar or acidity of tomatoes he can't have? If it's the acidity, cooking the soup with 1/2 tsp of baking soda will ease up on that.
I really have no good recipes. i just throw crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and milk into a pot, stir and add spices. I couldn't even begin to think of meanurements.

(follow up to pp) ...and if it's the sugar, using heavy cream or some half and half (perhaps not the healthiest thing) or at least adding a bit of oil (something to up the fat) will help block the sugar/insulin response.
