Is this true?

Yesterday I was 13 dpo. The last few cycles, I had been menstruating early, between 10-12 dpo so I decided to test. Faint line that didnt' show up right away but did show up within the time constraints of the test. Okay. Figured if it were positive, I would just retest this morning (14 dpo) and the line should be darker. However, same thing today. Very faint line but line nonetheless.

So is it possible that I'm not pregnant?

I don't want to think I am, tell my dh, only to find out that it was only a faint line and not a true pregnancy line. I'd be much happier seeing a real line...

It is a pretty sensitive test too (I think...) so I would think that it would show up...

depends on the test. How faint is the line? I've gotten what I chose to consider false positive (very very faint lines, had to really look hard to see them) on FRE tests, and then have AF show up (doc says they were probably chemical pregnancies, but if I hadn't been using the very most sensitive test on the market I'd never have known about it). I've gotten evap lines on cheap tests or tests I've had laying around a long time past their expiration date.

But, aside from my personal experience, it doesn't matter how faint the line is!! And, the line doesn't always get darker on each test. HPT's are not quantitative tests, you have to have blood drawn for a beta to get a quantitative result. HPT's are either positive or negative, the darkness of the line means absolutely nothing at all! If you really must test again, wait a week first. I would at least wait until 17 or 18 dpo.
CONGRATS!! It sure sounds to me like you are indeed pregnant!! :

I agree...it doesn't matter how faint the line is...it's a positive test!!! And it just because the line wasn't darker the second time doesn't mean anything.

Congrats! It sounds like you tested positive for a pregnancy!

congrats!!

i took my test a week after we conceived and the line was also very faint. i think it's very rare for a test to have a false positive (false negatives are more common).

you could always take a blood test to make sure, but sounds like you've got a bun in the oven

It sounds like it's positive to me, too! Yay! The expensive tests gave me a negative (FRE to name one), while the Dollar Tree tests gave me faint lines, and I was indeed pregnant. I went back to Dollar Tree, got a few more tests, and sure enough, they were a teeny bit darker every day until they baecame unmistakable. Congrats!

This pregnancy was "confirmed" by very faint lines on both the Dollar Tree tests and the EFT tests. I'd say congratulations!

Congrats! I'd say you most likely are! When I couldn't stand it anymore and didn't want to be in doubt, I bought a digital. It said, "pregnant" so I believed it, and sure enough, I was.

I had a very obvious faint line on a FRE about a year ago. I was not pregnant, but to be fair I got BFNs on the other tests I took after it. That should have been a clue for me!

I would say 2 faint lines is an absolute BFP! Congrats!

First Response Early must be the worst pregnancy test in the world. I keep seeing people talk about false positives, and I got a negative froom an FRE on the same day that Dollar Tree gave me a positive, and I was pregnant. (I KNEW I was, so I just kept testing until I got a positive, lol.)
