I got mine from clothdiapersnmore. It was two more dollars per dozen to have them come to my door prewashed and all fluffed up. I love my unbleached prefolds. Two dozen, prewashed gets you to $50 which makes shipping free.

you mean as in quality? There is only 1 supplier to the US who makes chinese prefolds and that is green earth textiles, so if you are buying chinese prefolds, then those are them. otherwise you arent buying chinese prefolds.(make sure you verify too, I have noticed some website say they are chinese prefolds but really sell other types)

I did not know this... so is it better to have chinese prefolds as opposed to others that say they are but aren't???

Personally, I like my indian prefolds better than my chinese prefolds. They are softer and fluffier. I bought my indian prefolds used from the TP, so I can't tell ya where they came from exactly, but I know that Montana's Diaper store carries them and she has free shipping all the time.

Is there any way to know they're definitely the right kind without asking?

I need to order some too. I have a feeling my husband will like the simplicity (read: cheapness/thriftiness as opposed to my stash of AIOs right now) of them.

Does anyone know of anyone who sells like a dozen that are dyed, though? I'm such a loser, I can't stand basic white.

If they aren't chinese prefolds - make sure they are DSQ (diaper service quality)
There are lots of places that sell them already dyed: www.tyedyedreams.com, www.sunflowerderrieres.com, www.fluffymail.com I'm sure other mamas know of some more
