I was nursing my DD in a local mall when she was about 2wks old. No big right? Well this mall is located in the downtown core of a city, so police foot patrols go through on a regular basis, to beef up mall security.

Well as I was calmly nursing my DD in the foodcourt, and eating some KFC *It was twonie Tuesday, I was po, it was food* An elderly woman approached the beat patrol as soon as they came within sight and pointed me out. One officer, whom I knew very well just smiled and laughed, while the other officer, whom I didn't know, and am assuming was a rookie, strode up to me, all puffed up like a rooster ready to crow. He started in on the rhetoric, that it was indecent, He could arrest me for lewd behavior, he could do this that this, and demanded for me to stop that instant.

I calmly looked at him, and stated "Officer, if it is legal for a woman to go topless in Ontario, it is legal for me to breastfeed my child, now please give me your name and badge number so I can report you for harassment"

He did give me his name and badge number because he had to, they always have to when asked.

And yes I did report him.

And I never saw that police officer on patrol ever again.

I'm guessing that the officer who was mentoring him didn't like him much.
