ds is nearly 3 and has been in his own bed for a few months. Sometimes he sleeps alone and sometimes sis joins him.

The last week or so he comes into our room in the middle of the night. He won't sleep unless I'm on my side holding him. Being 8 months pregnant this doesn't work well as I have to switch sides a lot for comfort.

I want him back in his own bed before the baby is born. He's not a gentle sleeper and I would not feel safe with him in the bed near a newborn. It also won't work for me to hold two children at the same time.

Any suggestions?

Yikes, I wish I had something super insightful to add - my only thought is, would it be possible to snuggle him to sleep in his own bed? At 8 months pregnant that could be nearly impossible but at least that way he's not in bed with you....Or, do your son and daughter sleep in the same room? Do you think that would be helpful to them as they adjust to the new baby on the way?

Best of luck!

I don't really fit on the twin that well anymore. My butt hangs off. I do cuddle him to sleep many nights and slip away as soon as I can. Its the middle of the night that's a problem. Its hard to get him to settle back into his bed and stay there.

He and sis do share a room. I encourage her to sleep next to him as he sleeps better that way but I won't force her to do it.
