This morning I noticed a rash on 11mo DD's back. It's gotten brighter today, and now there is a bit on her shoulder as well. And on her back, it's 3 bigger splotches, and her shoulder has little red bumps. Anyone know what this could be? Food allergy, maybe? I did give her some new foods the last couple days...

Eczema related to food allergies sounds likely.

FWIW, we use Elidel for eczema here and it works wonders. I grew up using Eucerin, and that works too, and so can Aquaphor (sp?). Elidel is an Rx cream, but the other two can be bought at Sam's Club.

Does she have a fever? If she does, that changes things.

love, penelope

She doesn't have a fever, but the rash has spread since last night. I just put some calendula oil on it, so hopefully that will help. It doesn't seem to be bothering her at all, so I'll wait on getting the creams. Not too keen on putting stuff on her that I don't know much about.
If it doesn't start clearing up today, we'll make an appointment to see her Dr. (for the first time!).
Thank you for your suggestion!
