I cd part-time (at home, basically, dd's dcp uses sposies.) Dd mostly uses prefolds with pull-on whisper pants. She's 16 lbs, 4 1/2 mos old. She's not a terribly heavy wetter, so usually we use a standard premium pf at night. Her diaper is soaked in the morning, but she's dry.
Here's the question. Lately, there's a much stronger ammonia smell in the morning when we get up. Is this just a getting older baby thing or is there something I could be doing with washing to help? Except for the morning, I don't really notice any smell issues. Also, recently, I've been drying in the dryer more since it's become damp October here in Illinois, so maybe not line drying makes a difference? Any ideas?
