we were playing Duck duck goose yesterday and IL's house and we were trying to think of another game to play.<br>
MIL turns to DD and says, " What other games do you play in.....uh (long pause than condescending tone) Oh at the Y"<br><br>
BTW...my DD is only 4 1/2 and not so long ago it would not have been the slightest bit strange for her not be in school but MIL likes to pretend that she forgets we are going to homeschool.

I've got a SIL who works at a children's museum. So of course, she's an expert on parenting and educating children, even though she's never had any of her own. So I know how having negative IL's can be.

You'll learn to ignore MIL comments very easily..MIL was all for homeschooling when we were just talking about it but now that DS is school age she's freaked that we're not doing a "formal" curriculum with him at 5. Whatever.<br><br>
I just ignore it. She was a teacher for years and ya know..They DO have all the answers!! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">
