I have presently been re-evaluating our homeschool philosophy and doing some life planning so that our homeschool can be what we all want it to be. I bought a (UK) magazine called Child Education and there was an interestig article on Maths and Physical Education. I liked this quote from it and wanted to share:

"If you practice learning by 'doing' you can retain 75% of the information. This compares to 5% if you are just being told and 10% if you merely learn by reading. (Adapted from National Training Laboratories research 1997"

Well I think homeschooling is just perfect for this!!
