My dd is 10.5 months and took her first step the other day, so arguably a pre-toddler.

She has been an intense baby and will probably be an intense toddler, but I have to say something really cool about the changes she is going through as she becomes a big girl...

Right now she is napping on a blanket on the floor in my office. She didn't nurse down. She fell asleep in my arms and I was able to set her down on the floor and go back to what I was doing. When she was a baby, she would be sleeping ON me right now, for the next oh, three four hours. I can now kind of see off in the distance the day when she is able to fend for herself sometimes, be a creative little person, have conversations. Wow.

She has been such a cute baby and it's so cool to see her becoming a big girl!

My son is 11.5 months old (wow!!!) and not quite walking, but cruising, so a pre-toddler, too and I have been LOVING this stage so much and looking forward to his increasing toddlerhood
