I just heard this morning that I got approved for subsidised housing and I can move in Oct 1!!!

That way my rent will only be 30% of my income. My bills will drop about $100 to $150 a month. This is such good news. I feel like this has been the month from hell. I NEEDED this small victory KWIM?

Also the unit I am moving into is a condo with a yard and is only 6 years old. They are going to paint and replace the lino before I move in. I am so excited.

Congratulations to you! Isn't it great when the system actually works for you? And, congratulations on either being Canadian or lucky enough to live in Canada. I've just had to take a full time job so I could have health insurance. Otherwise, I could be a part timer and have a reasonable mom/kids life.
