I'm still feeling all smarmy and group-huggy today and just had to share<a href="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/showpost.php?p=7717187&postcount=1072" target="_blank">this</a><br><br>
The problem with ds1 I am referring to was that I was anticipating a full blown custody battle. dd was still living with me, but we literally never saw each other because of work and school schedules.<br><br>
Wow. I mean wow. Just wow. Miracles really do happen. I'm NAKing mine.

My one year mark is my DH's 30th birthday. I had the IUI on his 29th birthday.<br>
AND YAY! One year. It's so surreal!

The insem that worked was supposed to be on Mother's Day, but then I had a wonky cycle and had to call to reschedule. The donor was only available on weekends, so I was pretty sure it wasn't going to happen in May, but <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/af.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="aunt flo"> was exactly a week late.<br><br>
I kind of lied in that post. I had given up, I just didn't want to admit it to myself. I wanted to try one last time so I could experience again and remember what it felt like to be the kind of person who could still hope.<br><br>
I think I missed out on hearing about Trixie's successful IUI because I disappeared from The One Thread and all the TTC boards except the over 40s by April. I was consciously saving my 1000th post for either a pregnancy announcement or....well, there wasn't going to BE a 1000th post because a childless middle aged woman who hangs around parenting boards, even MDC, seemed just too pathetic to be something I wanted to be.<br><br>
What a long, strange trip it's been.

I didn't spend much time on the One Thread, mostly just poking in here and there. I spent most of my time on the infertility thread.<br>
She was my 2nd IUI, and 1st round of the injectable drugs. I hope it's that easy the 2nd time around. I don't know how well I cna handle another year of dejection.

Anyone know how juneau's doing? I lost track of her after her second loss <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

She had an ectopic after the one who would have been our kids age and then a chemical. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"><br><br>
I've seen her on the over 40s thread in the lastb month or so. I don;'t lurk there as much as I used to because it makes me sad and life isn't fair.

A year ago today... I was just finding out I was pg.<br>
Of course I lost that pregnancy in May...<br>

My water broke with Ember right around the time the other baby was due.<br><br>
Seems my body had January on the calendar for a birth, no matter WHEN I conceived. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment">
