I want to make a wrap for a baby due in Feb. I've been looking at directions online, and yes it seems real straitforward, but I have a question. Why is it so preferable to not have a seam. It would seem not to makker as long as you make the seam strong. Most other carriers, including mai teis and ring slings have at least 1 seam without effecting performance, and on a wrap you are layering the fabric several times over, so even less pressure would be applied to the seam. Am I missing something? I can't see why it's really an issue..... PLEASE ADVISE
