So I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with acupuncture?

My chiropractor, who just came back from maternity leave herself, is going to do some work on me tomorrow with pressure points and acupuncture to try to get me into labor, or at least move me closer to it.

I'm just curious is anyone had used it to start labor!

I have heard great results with acupuncture starting labor. I have also heard that it is great for labor pains, but I often think "Who is going to have an acupuncturist with them during labor???"

I did have acupuncture to get my womb, and baby, moving at the end of the magical 42 weeks last time, and they did! This time I will have acupuncture from week 36 on to get my body and mind as relaxed as possible, and my acu promised I can call her day and night to come and assist me during labour as well

I had a session on Friday, with 12 needles. 5 in each foot/ankle and 1 in each hand.

I did notice I've been having more frequent BH ctx and they are stronger than they were, but still no baby.

I'm scheduled for another session on Tuesday! Every little bit helps, right?

my current acupunturist told me that there is a point in your sacrum that REALLY gets labor going.

with my ds, i had acupuncture the morning my water broke, but it didn't really do anything. maybe my former practitioner wasn't being "aggressive" with her needling.
