My beautiful, social, smart, amazing boy has just been diagnosed with ADHD Inattentive. I know nothing and don't know where to begin as far as diet, resources, books, etc. I want to start with diet intervention before I can get to the reading, which will take more time - can anyone help me with all of this???

I would get a copy of "The Mislabeled Child" by Brock Eide and Fernette Eide and read the chapter on ADHD. They give an overview of useful interventions and other advice.

WebMD has an overview of diet suggestions for ADHD: http://www.webmd.com/add-adhd/guide/adhd-diets

A lot of people recommend supplementing with fish oil. It has good support from research:

I would also recommend this book.

My son's behaviour improved quite a bit after I took him off dairy (esp. anything with the dairy protein casein). If you can, begin by removing all preservatives, msg, and food dyes from your ds's diet. Those aren't good for anything, anyway! Then think about eliminating dairy and/or wheat, which seem to be the biggest culprits.
