I'm sorry, I don't have any extra supply anymore, but have you tried Milkshare yet? Even if you have to get the milk shipped, it's worth it. It's basically a website and a Yahoo group that you join.

I have a link to it on my website under Breastfeeding.

You should also post in BF Challenges forum.

Good luck! Keep us updated!

I'm glad that breastmilk works better for the baby! I also 2nd the recommendation for Milkshare - I've donated on there twice and had trouble finding someone to donate to in my area (twin cities) so I think you might have some luck there!! I don't have any extra milk right now either unfortunately (have 17 month old nursling and pregnant) but I wish you the best of luck with finding some donor milk!!

Hi! I don't have any breastmilk to offer (nursing and pregnant as well!) but wanted to mention two other formulas that are not as well known. They are called Neocate and Elecare. They are amino-acid based and don't have any intact proteins, so even the most highly allergic infant will tolerate one or both of these. They are available at pharmacies behind the counter but don't require a prescription. They are very expensive, but perhaps they will help tide you over until you can nurse or get enough donations to feed your new little one.

ugh! i wish i had seen this thread earlier because there was a lll meeting yesterday! did you go? i honestly don't know whether it would be considered appropriate to put it out there at a meeting that you're looking for donor milk, but it seems like a good place to connect with someone who has either induced lactation or relactated (or have someone pass your name & number along to the right person).

the next meetings are tuesday, may 5, at 6:30 pm & wednesday, may 20, at 10 am, at the coppertop church (downstairs). someone correct me if i'm wrong about the morning meetings being at 10, but that's when i think they are.

I wish I could help you! I don't have a pump, but I'm nursing my 2 yr old DD, and would love to help someone out. But we can't afford to buy a good pump. We also live 2 1/2 hours away from you, north of Grand Rapids.

{{{HUGS}}} hope you can find enough donors!
