I think the old gal is trying to make a visit. The other day I had a little blood in my undies, and nothing since then, but I am feeling crampy today. Could my old friend be making a return? How did it work for you, could you feel it coming on or was it a surprise?

Could totally feel mine coming back. At six months PP! Was hoping for longer...

I had crampy type feelings and twinges and an increase in discharge for the two weeks before it came back..and just a 'feeling'...

6 weeks PP with my DD. It was a surprise.
14 weeks PP with my DS. I could feel it the week previous.

Breastfed exclusively, on cue, around the clock (actually, no longer than 2 hrs at a stretch because both kiddos were severely jaundiced), baby wore, coslept in the same bed.... apparently didn't matter.

Our bodies just likes being fertile, I guess!

It was a surprise this time around. With the first it came back 14 months pp so I was pretty shocked and disappointed when af came back 5 months pp with dd2.

No warning at all, it actually took me a moment to figure out what was going on. Cramps kicked in shortly after.

I'm guessing the spotting you saw was ovulation. Bizarrely, I'm having severe PMT but it starts immediately I ovulate and gets better several days before my period starts- how weird is that?

I felt it coming MONTHS before she actually arrived.

Sensitive nips on and off, bloating, cramps, pings and twinges.
My lower back always hurts when AF is here and I was having that periodically for a LOOOONG time before she came- it was infuriating.. I was expecting to see blood every time I went to the loo.

So no, it wasn't a surprise, it was a relief when she finally reared her ugly head at 9 months pp.

My back started aching last night, and I always had back pains with AF. I hope this doesnt take months, I would be glad to get it over with. If my splooge was around ovulation, I shouldnt have to wait too much longer.

Have you considered inducing ovulation by sleeping with the light on for three nights? That might do it...

No, I've never heard of that! I will have to learn more about it. But, my issue would be that I am a VERY sensitive sleeper. Alarm clocks must be covered and limited amounts of light prevent me from sleeping. When dh is up reading, I have to wear a mask in order to sleep. So,, I dont know how that would work for me.

I saw her at 6 weeks postpartum and nothing sense. I'm starting to get a little worried because I still get that crampy feeling like she's going to come and nothing. I took a pregnancy test this week (10 week PP) just to be sure I wasn't pregnant again. Nope. Nothing.

Mind came back when DD was four months. Ergh! I'd been charting to get pregnant, so I recongized that I had fertility signs a couple weeks before AF, so no big surprise to me. (Except I was bummed about her coming back so early, with all the 24-hour breastfeeding and all!)

Mine returned at 12 weeks PP and I was EBing so a little surprised. But the wonderful thing was - no cramps. At all! I had horrible cramping with AF before baby. I was on schedule after that for 6 months. The 7th month - well...I was late. Really late. And not pregnant, either. So, DH and I were a little careless (sorry, TMI!) and I never started at all. I'm nearly 4 mos. pregnant now, but we're happy about it! DS will have a little sibling to share his toys with - YAY!

Matey: hope you're feeling better soon. I think once AF started back, it helped me to begin feeling more normal after my unplanned c-section. Hang in there!

I would totally welcome an AF return. I charted to prevent before we started TTC, so I feel so nervous all the time. We finally just started using mood killers (aka condoms) to make sure there isnt a number 2. I would just like to chart like I used to as it made me feel super in control of the fertility situation, and worked wonderfully for us.

I'm on the pill and still nothing. I'm not complaining, just wondering if this is normal.
