For a couple of weeks now my 19 month old son is terrified of taking his bath. No clue as to why. Nothing bad happened before, during, or after his bath routine. I didn't change how I do his bath routine. Usually he is just itchin' to get into that tub even before it is full, he loves playing in the running water. Now he just screams and clings to my arms. We are now doing sponge baths in the kitchen. What should I do to get him back to loving his bath time? I don't want to force him, but it would make life eaiser if I could wash him up in a tub.

ds developed an irrational fear of the bathtub around that age...lasted a few months! We did sponge-bath-type cleanups in the bathroom sink. Eventually he decided that the tub was ok again.
