I just juiced some beet greens(quite a few of them because I didn't want them to go to waste) along with two carrots and an apple. I think there was about 12 oz total of juice. I drank one glass and then realized that the rest I couldn't really keep so I drank another glass full. I started thinking..hey..beets are cleansing, super powerful and I am breastfeeding. What if the toxins from my body go into my milk and into my baby? Am I being paranoid? I'm kinda freaking out a little. I always knew that beets were powerful cleansers, but didn't really think about how it would affect my baby. He's 11 months, by the way. He's not ebf. He eats meals as well. I used a jack lalanne juicer, so it doesn't keep all of the pulp like a Champion juicer would.

I don't think one time having beet greens would throw your body into detox mode, unless you haven't been eating, or eating very very poorly. Have some toast or a meal. And, of course like after any fresh juice, water.

I can feel when toxins are released into my body (headache, dizzy, not feeling right), so maybe pay attention for any of those signs.

I'm sure it is just fine

Thank you for your replies. I knew I was probably over reactiong, but I just had to find someone that would tell me that my babe would be fine before I could relax.
