..... i had completely backed off all the non-GD things i had been doing to discipline my son, and had turned intead to completely GD-style methods (many of which i learned here, thanks mamas
)...

but i had been getting fed up because it felt like nothing was working. my child was still acting up / acting out, and MORE so, and it was driving me nuts.

..... well i just talked to his new teacher (he started public school recently!) and it turns out he's one of the best (behaviour-wise) children in the class.

My kiddos are PERFECT when we leave the house. People tell me up and down how lucky I am that my kids are so great. As soon as we walk in the door of my home.....AAAAHHHHH! My dh is the same way. So polite and sweet in public but he acts like a 7 yr when we are at home. It's the Eddie Haskell theory. Grrrr.
