Alicia Silverstone was on The Ellen Fisher Podcast last week and shared that she and her 11-year-old son Bear still share the same bed.

This apparently threw the Interwebs into a frenzy, as there apparently aren't enough for real big deals to be talking about.

In the episode titled, "Taboo parenting and being vegan before it was cool with Alicia Silverstone," Silverstone says she's a 'natural mama' and she talked at length about her veganism, her activism and her parenting, which includes what she says are 'alternative' parenting methods and co-sleeping. (It's a great podcast to watch, btw, so check it out!)

Co-sleeping is typically a term used referring to the act of sharing a bed with your baby/toddler, but Silverstone says she's not making anything up; she's just doing what nature dictates.

To Fisher, she said, “If you were in any kind of wild setting where there are animals, if you put your baby over there, (pointing to across the room), your baby is going to get eaten. It’s not ideal for the baby to be over there.”

She said that while she imagines she'll get in 'trouble' for saying that she and Bear still sleep together, she didn't care.

But of course, everyone ELSE in the world seemed to, and the fact that she says she believes in nature and in love and being a loving mama is apparently everyone else's business.

Many said Silverstone should be more mindful of Bear's prepubescence and allow him the space to grow without fearing he's disappointing his mom's ideal to keep him her little boy.

Others, however, agreed with Silverstone, saying that there's too much emphasis on 'appearances' and not enough on loving relationships between parents and children that don't match society's 'age dictations'.

In 2014, Silverstone released her book "The Kind Mama" and in the book, she said that putting a child in a crib was child neglect in her opinion. She says that she and Bear have a strong, respectful relationship and that motherhood was the most precious and unbelievable experience she'd been given.

Silverstone isn't new to beginning the subject of parenting style debate. In 2012, she shared that she chewed Bear's food for him, and released a video of how she fed Bear, who was 11-months-old at the time.

Silverstone’s parenting style has made headlines before. Back in 2012, she revealed that she chews her son’s food for him.

At the time, she released a video showing how she fed a then-11-month-old Bear.

So, what say you? "Yay!" or "Nay!" to bedsharing (or even room-sharing) at that age?
