Lately my wool covers are soaking through. I have ds in a carrier and then find that we are both completely soaked!!!!
We use fitteds and wool esclusively and this is the first problem! I love my wool. Help! We are using Stacinator day/night covers and kozydesign shorties.

Here's what I did. They literaly soaked us with pee the DAY after I lanolized them. Ack. I used at least an inch of lanolin and soaked them overnight in room temp water with lanolin and Eucalin wool wash.

Am I doing something wrong? Help!!!?

Oh no
: Maybe I'll just try again. This stinks!!!!! Is it okay that I did two covers at a time? Maybe just one at a time?

how much water were they soaking in? if it was a a whole sinkful you may just need more lanolin.
personally, i love using spray-on lanolin aafter washing because then you *know* you're getting enough on the wool. maybe if you try again and they still leak you could try some spray?

This is how I lanolize all the wool I knit to sell:

1. heat water in a teapot
2. fill sink with hot hot hot tapwater
3. dissolve 1/4"-1/2" glob lansinoh & a few drops of baby soap or shampoo in a mug with the teapot water
4. add teapot water to sink, stirring vigorously to dissolve lanolin completely
5. place wool in sink, let sit until water is tepid
6. roll wool in towel & let dry flat in the sunshine or in front of a fan
