We primarily use Melaleuca cleaners, and really love a few of them (Tough & Tender, Rustic Touch, the toilet cleaner), but we're having trouble cleaning the vinyl floor in our MBa and our shower floor. Are there other products you would suggest for these tough jobs (non-toxic of course)?

Part of the problem on the vinyl floor is caked-on hairspray (yes, one product problem begets another). It's nearly impossible to get off!

Spam is welcome. Seriously. Help me get a clean bathroom! :

I sell a product I call "Softer Scrub", but I'm on hiatus for the biz right now - here's how to make it:

mix baking soda with Dr. Bronner's or other castile liquid soap (not dishwashing liquid, it's too sudsy and chemically) until you have a paste that resembles frosting. I use the DB's peppermint soap, it smells delicious! Then, add vinegar and stir stir stir until the all the foaming is gone. Do it in a large bowl, b/c the vinegar will really cause a volcano! That's it - add enough vinegar until it's a consistency that it easy to squirt.

I use that for all my scrubby jobs. It will separate as it sits, but you only have to shake it up. If you don't keep it capped tightly, it will dry out, so make sure you only make what you will use or keep it in an airtight container.

this works great! i've also used just bs mixed with a bit of water (paste-y like) and a sponge~ just like you said. it does work really well, even on my pots and pans that have, ummm, burnt on bits. nothing, and i mean nothing works better on my visions cookware. i swear by it now!
