We had some serious T-storms last night and woke to find all our corn stalks blown over. I have 2 seriously weeping sons right now. What should I do? Should I stake each one back up? Should I wait and see if they pull themselves back up?
I was JUST reading about this in Mother Earth News and I vaguely remember my dad doing this when we were growing up...Leave the stalks alone, but stamp the soil around where the stalk enters the ground pretty firmly. In a couple of days the stalks will be upright again.
