I was at the maine marriage equality hearings yesterday, and all the amazing, beautiful families just lit up the room. Mamas chasing their little ones around, dads with their kids just having the best time - it was just such a nice feeling.

I held more babies yesterday than I have in the past year.

I didn't make it to the hearing -- I wanted to, but things came up. I heard that the hearing itself was pretty rough.

I'm glad you had a good time.

I hope all those happy families made a great impression on the right people.

I thought the hearing went REALLY well. It was super emotional at times, but the audience was slanted in a HUGE way for same sex marriage, which was great. It was really inspiring.
