How old is she? My 8yo just takes it with some grape juice. I've taken out the powder and dissolved it for DD2 (4yo) though she can take smaller capsules like our probiotics. But the gelcap in the Allergy-C is something my DD2 isn't supposed to have (beef, I believe).

thats what i mean, what wont taste gross with the powder disolved in it. my dd1 is 5 1/2 she can only swallow teensy pills. not capsules yet. OJ was i think the most neutral of everything we have tried, maybe i'll buy a bunch of oranges and squeeze enough juice for a week. the thing is if there is oj inn the fridge, it wont last the week. maybe i could freeze it portion size.

I don't know what it tasted like in the grape juice, but she drank it... smoothies would be good to disguise it too (I put all sorts of stuff in there).

I open the capsule and mix the powder with some raw honey for DD. And for myself too if I get tired of just dumping the capsules into my mouth.
It's pretty yummy- sweet and sour at the same time. Tastes like a pixie stick (those horribly delicious candies from decades ago... do they still make those?)

Mmm... pixie sticks... pure corn sugar... with a little smattering of artificial color and flavor. Who knew when I sucked those down as a child that I'd be smearing them as a grown up?

Smoothies: coconut milk yogurt or 1/3 can of coconut milk, 5 or 6 ice cubes, frozen fruit (strawberries and/or blueberries), banana - if DD2 isn't having any, half a can of sliced peaches in pear juice. [a capsule of probiotic, a handful of spinach, a capsule of Vitamin C, and whatever else you want when the kids' backs are turned.]

Wait, so there is beef used in the making of the Allergy-C tables by Twinlabs?
Ugh! I am trying so hard to find a vitamin or a Vit D and or C my son can take.. I am coming up with nothing and it is so hard because his diet is so restricted that I know he can't be getting all of what he needs from his diet alone. HELP! (sorry for jumping in on this post..)

I use this one for vitamin C. It tastes just slightly salty (it's sodium ascorbate, not ascorbic acid), so it mixes really easily with any food where salty matches - ground lamb/beef, sweet potato fries, peanut butter... I didn't know it came in a powder, I've been opening capsules! As for D, we just get outside a lot in the summer, no idea what I'll do in the winter.

The gelatin capsule is beef. My DD2 was okay with it when I opened the capsule and poured the powder into the smoothie. With gelatin capsules I always call the company and ask.

thank you! i will be opening it up for my ds, how much did you give your dd? just 1 capsule? my ds is allergic to beef but it when tested was his lowest allergen to date, he has never consumed beef tho besides through bm. hopefully this wont be an issue, i am really hopeful to get some vit c into him since his diet is so restricted.

My DD2's is an intolerance, not an allergy. And she tolerates it. She has one capsule (she's 38 lbs.). DS is 54 lbs. and he also has 1 capsule per day.
