Is there an image online of what the allergy ring might look like? My dd's backside, at the top of her crack (so sorry...no idea what the proper term is for one's crack!) is perpetually surrounded by a red ring. I've always pictured the allergy ring being a small ring, just around the anus. Is that right? I've written what she has off as sensitive skin, but I just keep adding to the list of allergy signs I'm finding and now I think she may have an "allergy ring" too. If no image...would you think the redness surrounding the top of her crack is an allergy ring?

TIA!

Could be... Is there any rashiness on her buttocks? When my ds's allergy ring goes out that far, he usually also has yeast. So I'm not sure if the allergy ring is really that much bigger, or if the yeast rash is causing it. Yeast rash usually looks like little pimples.

But it definitely could be allergy ring as well. Does she have eczema? Eczema is a big sign of allergy, and coupled w/ an anal ring, I'd definitely suspect food allergy.

She does have eczema and has shown sensativity to dairy. We've eliminated dairy (well she has...I still indulge occassionally) but she was constipated the past few days and I read that can be an indicator of allergy. As I was reading about that, I thought of the allergy ring. Now I'm wondering what the other culprit is, if not dairy! We never did a true elimination diet as it was pretty obvious dairy was our problem (cheese and yogurt reactions when she was eating hardly any solids and that was all she had consumed.)
