I have a question. Ok my dd is 8months old and recently had an alergic reaction to gerber 2nd foods(chicken puree). We had to stop the solids and go back to strictly bf'ing for like 10 days or so. Her system was cleaned out according to the doc and I could just tell she was feeling better. Then we started her back on solids(gerber 1st foods) and she has been puking ever since...
So I stopped them and started giving her fresh stuff and she is doing fine. We tried other brands of baby food in the past and she coudnt keep them down either? I was wondering if at all possible, could she be alergic to canned stuff or maybe her body just cant handle it? I feel like I'm crazy
: for asking this cause it seems strange, but she just got really sick for the past few days after we started her back on solids from having that reaction to chicken puree?
I just dunno? Any Ideas?

Gerber processes their food with so many allergens; it was impossible to find any one food that was safe. Same with Earth Balance. We ended up just making our own food. Sounds like whatever your daughter reacted to really impacted her system; ten days after a significant reaction probably isn't enough time for her to really heal. (When he was about 18 months old, my son had one bite of his brother's waffle. He was in severe pain for over two weeks and a month later had an endoscopy--we could still see the damage caused by his reaction) You're not going crazy--but, you may have to keep in mind that you know your child better than the doctors and be prepared to advocate for her when needed.

Freecycle
, or food bank. Or...if you still have any of the receipts, return it for food you can use. When it comes to food allergies and the associated costs, I have no pride; every cent counts. I once called a major grocery store chain's main office to complain about the computer generated coupons--we always got Gerber coupons or, when we bought rice milk, got coupons for soy milk. I told them those were useless to us and a colossal waste of paper and vaguely insulting, since we were buying rice milk for a very good reason and, if we wanted soy milk and could drink it, I would have bought that to begin with. I get in these moods...

Yeah she had a for sure reaction, with green mucus stools, flu like symptoms(with no feaver). and it lasted for almost two weeks. we did all kinds of tests and found out that it was an alergic reaction..
