so i put dd 9 months in our bed with the crib against the bed (it's my railling
) . i heard her cry so i ran to the bedroom and she was hanging off the bed upside down with her hips caught on the crib and wall keeping her from falling head first
poor thing
she wasnt too upset tho when i got her out, she didnt seem hurt just alittle scared, but we fixed that with some super snuggles...

Been there. I have one of those railings for kid beds on my side of the bed and DS occationally sleeps between me and the railing. One morning my DH went to work really early and when he came to kiss me goodbye he found DS wedged inbetween the rail and the bed (DS was 13mos). He told me this and I said "move him then". He picked him up and DS protested and crawled back inbtween the bed and rail, I guess he just likes confined spaces?

On a serious note, you have to be careful that she doesn't fall out, so maybe put your bed on the floor, until she figures how to get down on her own.

how scary!! I had almost the same thing with my 9mo DS the other day... DH was away on business, and I woke up earlier than DS. I heard him, and by the time I got to the bedroom he was halfway off the bed! YIKES!

How do you mamas help teach them to go down feet first or to scootch down backwards??
