I am almost out of my frozen BM stash and ds has approx. 8 more days of daycare left before I am out of school for the summer. I can pump a few more ounces, but incase I don't have enough in the last few days is there something I can add to the BM to make it stretch? Whole milk? Soy milk? Something else? Ds will be 11 1/2 months at this time. He normally drinks 3 4oz bottles- so could I do half and half BM and something else the last 3 or 4 days? I'm trying to avoid buying formula since he is almost 12 months old anyways.

at that age, you can technically give whole milk if you want (it's close enough to 12 months). or you could try goat's milk. i wouldn't mix it though--i would just offer it separately in a sippy or bottle. if he's never had formula, i would also see no reason to buy it now!

Yeah, my ped said that she supplemented her kids with a bit of goats milk here and there. I think it would be totally fine.

And yeah, I agree with the PP about not mixing it. Especially if you're not sure that he'll like it/drink all of it. I'm such a breast milk miser, I can't stand to see a drop get wasted...
