So, I thought the blanket I was purchasing was 100% wool. No, it is 50% wool, 38% alpaca and 12% cotton. So, do you think it will work to use it as a waterproof bed pad?

I planned to wash it to felt it, cover it with a bedsheet and call it a day (night). I was not going to lanolize it, but do you think that would make a difference?

Thoughts? Experiences?

I think it would be fine. We are just getting a fleece mattress cover when we have our next baby. It wont not soak up wee...but it should sure dry fast in case there were any accidents! lol (and - its super cheap, which is all we can afford so it will have to do - much more pleasant than some plastic mattress cover imo!)
