I'm interested too! Thanks for starting the thread, I'm subbing.

BTW, are all these as absorbant as fbs or are they more like fitteds?

I also want to stick with fb-like pockets w/ snaps and pul or equally water resistant!

bellabottoms.com has a pocket dipe (called an AIO but really a pocket) with fleece inner and procare outer. I haven't used mine yet, but I washed it today and it seems good--a little bulky, I'd say, but seems like a fairly adjustable fit--snaps at side waist and leg. You might want to check it out as another option.

Check out http://www.recycleze.com/aio.html they have snap out soakers and come in side snap or front snap. I have 4 of these w/ lots of extra soakers and they are awesome! With this type of diaper I can go all day switching back and forth between 2 diapers (letting them air out between use) and then just snap in a new soaker. Unless its visibly soiled, you can re-use the "shell" several times before washing. These are made locally and are wonderful to work with. So if you buy one diaper with an extra soaker its like having 2 diapers.

The softbums have a snap in insert, which I love. They have just one snap on each side, which is another feature I liked. Ds is to busy trying to run away, so with the ones that have two snaps on each side, I found I couldn't get the two snaps snapped fast enough(say that five times fast, lol), so I really prefer just having one snap on each side. I have tried the regular soaker and the hemp and the hemp is much more abosorbant so if I were to order again I would go with the hemp soakers.

I was going to suggest BumGenius but it's a velcro (I'm waiting for one)
Snap diapers I'd suggest Wonderoos (Superstars) one size pockets
And Snap EZ
I'd like to try a Very Baby or a One Mad Giraffe. Or a mommys touch all pockets I believe.

I've got a Mommy's Touch and it's a pain to use, honestly. I appreciate it being so versatile size-wise, but I really dislike having to double snap (for want of a better phrase) everytime I use it.

I love the pocket diapers there. Based on how they fit my DS, I think they'd be a good fit for a chunky-thighed baby. She doesn't really carry any in-stock, but the custom work is worth the two-week wait (mine came faster than that) and you can get exactly what you want -- either snaps or touchtape, and tons of fabric choices. We use ours as nightime diapers and when I stuff with the free microfiber towel and a couple homemade hemp inserts, we've never had a leak. And DS sleeps 10 hours solid, so it's absorbing quite a lot.
