Sometimes I wonder about myself-really.............here I am in the midst of all these beautiful, well fitting, totally convienent fitted and AIO diapers available now (not to mention that I make them too and I am completely in love with prefolds!!!!!!!!! So, am I totally insane? Does anybody else have this same problem, or is it just me?

Granted, money issues have made it very important for me to cut back-but I have lots of mommy made fitted and AIO style dipes-but have been reaching for prefolds nearly exclusively for a while now. They wash and dry SO FAST and they are so much fun to fluff and fold, and......and...............

there is just something so nostalgic about prefolds-even in brilliant eye popping tye dye

Nah, I've been using them multiple times a day because they seem more comfortable (no elastic) and are pretty and I'm getting better at the jelly roll fold and the bikini twist (and I want to practice more). They are soft and practical and I just enjoy using them!

I looove my PF's and want more! Especially embellished and tie dye ones. I'm loving the side roll twist/fold and have been using PF's with wool a lot lately

Nah, I have warmed up to the idea of prefolds. Even ordered some. I may dye them b/c I like colour but the idea of them appeals to me. And I don't know why.

I don't have any prefolds, just stacks and stacks of fitteds, and now you guys are making me feel like I'm missing out on something. I hated them only because of the bulk on my newborn (infant indian from granitesmith) but I can see diggin the snappi if it would be trim.

I love my prefolds as well. In fact I just sold off the majority of my fitteds as I found myself always reaching for perfolds. Thought I may regret it, but I don't!

I only use prefolds on my son. I dyed them all myself because I love color. I love to use my prefolds. My husband even uses them. He has mastered the twist and the snappi.

on the flip side

I only used fitteds with my daughter. Once her poop gets more solid I hope to switch to prefolds. For now, that poop just escapes from the prefolds.

I was just looking for pretty prefolds this morning! I feel like I need to sell some stuff first though to make room and haven't been very good at that.

To answer the OP question, though, YES, Shan, you are insane. I've seen the WIOz you make, and if I had your talent, my boy's butt would have had far too many of those custom made for him already! I know your time and materials is probably prohibitive of that, but I'm not a WAHM so in my silly little head you could (if not for a pesky adoration of prefolds) make all the WIOz you want for your guy!

I've never really liked prefolds much since I fell into the world of the fitteds. But since selling off a large portion of our stash to make room for more of the fitteds I know we will use, I found me pulling out the prefolds more and more. In fact the other day DS spent the whole day in prefolds and his wool covers. I tried the sidewall roll with a snappi and it looked pretty good!
I love my fitteds so much and I'm slowly but surely adding to that stash but it's nice to know that the prefolds are there and I know how to use them

Ok, can I ramble anymore?!

I love my unipfs because they are cheap in the long run to use at home for frequent changes and there is something that just makes me smilie at the simpleness of a baby in a snappi'd prefold . They dry quick too and for naps they are great to trifold in a cover!

I'm learning to use them better, so I'm liking them. Some days ds does something weird and ends up with a rash or a scrape or something where his fitteds hit him on the thigh (I don't think they're too tight, but ???) and i'll use prefolds most of the time until that's healed up. They're just soo cute. I have some sitting in bags right now, tie dyeing.

I LOVE my prefolds-finally got the hang of pins, and boy what a difference. I have no fitted curiousity nor envy at all! I really really do love them!
