DS (16 months) has taken to throwing little fits when he's overtired or I take something away, etc. He usually will throw himself back or down on the floor and holler a bit. I tell him to go ahead and throw his fit, and stand by to make sure he doesn't hurt himself.

Grandmother (whom lives with us) does not allow him to throw these tantrums, she's immediately giving him something else to play with, singing, distracting, basically anything to get DS to stop.

So, by AP and GD standards, whose reaction to the situation is more on point?
