Lovely AF visited on July 8th while still bf (dd was 10 months the EXACT AGE of ds when af returned and i WAS NOT bf) regular and heavy. i was contemplating weaning dd as she wasn't doing much and then she did wean about 2 weeks later on vaca. af however didn't come back on aug. 8th.

i have been going back and forth on the decisions. it could be stress of vacation, dd not nursing at all anymore and my body adjusting, changing to completely different environments and elevations etc. .....but then i tell my self that that isn't that big of a deal. i dealt with MORE than that 2 weeks postpartum with ds! add in getting married and MOVEING across the country.

i have taken 2 pg test but both came up negative (which is actually the first time EVER i have had a negative test). it also stated on the box that "if your period is not regular wait till 19 days AFTER your expected period date to test, if you still get a negative test in 3 more days. i tested on wed. of last week which was 14 days after i expected it. its been my experience though that my egg releases at the beginning of my cycle (about 1 week after AF) not the end/middle. and when i am pg the line appears ASAP on my pg tests..no waiting involved! my breasts were also tender 2ish weeks ago which is exactly my first (and only) symptom of PG with ds. also i have been super tired (which i was with dd). i also have just the teeniest bit of clear milk but then i can attribute that to only haveing dd weaned for 3 weeks!

i just wonder what the heck is going on in there! i've heard that some women don't produce enough hcg to show up on urine tests for a while but havieng 2 previous pg it seems weird. then i wonder if af will dissapear for 3 months since i stopped bf. after i weaned ds it took 3 months AFTER he stopped for af to return although i didn't have anything while i was so this sorta different.

sorry for the long post...it just keeps going round and round in my head and i am getting dizzy

that seems like a tricky question...maybe you could go see your doctor and have it checked out. i'm not really that knowledgable on the subject though, so i guess. AF returned for me when ds was 14 months old and he is still breastfeeding now at 28 months. I think the way that bf influences af is wide ranging.
