Who gets all skeeved out by any mention/thought of the perinium- oiling/episiotomy/stitching. There are a few threads on the I'm Pregnant forum, and I can't read them. This is just one thing I freak out about. I was like this last time, and I even stated that I would rather be cut then tear. And I was cut. And it sucked.
OK, thanks for listening.

I don't get skeeved out, exactly, but I do wince in memory of my own episiotomy! I will move heaven and earth to avoid getting another one of those. It was, hands down, the worst part of my recovery.

Hmmm.. I dunno. I find the idea of an episotomy pretty skeevy (to you use your term).
I didn't have one but did tear a bit with both children. It really wasn't bad for healing at all.

I'm so sorry!!! I thought it was sort of a positive spin on tearing. I apologize. I'll delete it and PM you to let you know.
