Dd is 6.5 months old. At night we give her diaper free time on a waterproof pad, to let her skin air out. I noticed she hadn't peed many nights and would then pee in the bath so I started putting her on the potty and she'd pee there. This was the only time of day I did this. Well yesterday I thought she might have to poop so I stuck her on there and she did! This morning again I got her to poop on the potty though she did go again within the hour in her diaper. Am I too late for this? Is it ok to only do EC part time when we're home only? TIA

You are not too late, and you can do EC part-time.

Yup! Sounds like you are doing great! Part time is wonderful--just throw her on there when you think she needs to go. A great way to keep her in tune with her body (and the fact that the potty is one place to put pee and poo) and stay relaxed about the whole thing Have fun!

yep, we EC "for fun" too, although we started early. Some days and even entire weeks ds just isn't "into it", but he knows he can always go back to regular pottying when he wants to.

Lots of kids EC at home and use diapers when they're out and about. My guy seems to prefer the other way around, maybe because I can't always change diapers as promptly as I want when we're on the go or maybe just because he enjoys our little private "conspiratorial" times together in public bathrooms. I don't know, I just go with what makes him happy right now.
