Wow... just wow. That was amazing! It made me realize that I'm not even close to ready to deliver my baby right now. She was in such good shape. (Did she even have any stretch marks?!?)

I know! I was thinking the same thing. Her belly was so huge and not one stretch mark! I just can't believe that she had such large babies too and she seemed like a really slim lady (apart from the belly).

Wow! What an amazing birth! I wish I had the confidence she did. She didn't act distressed once...even when she realized the second baby was a footling breech!! Amazing! I hope I can have that confidence with this baby!!

AmBam - I know - I was chuckling when the DH saw the foot pop out and was all, "ack - what do you want me to do?!" (I mean can you imagine SEEING that in real time? It was a little shocking as it was...)<br><br>
And the mama is just cool as a cucumber saying, "...nothing... [duh])<br><br>
Twins, footling breech, over 7 lb babies - and all that amazing confidence. Very inspiring.<br><br>
The toddler nursing while she was in labor was funny/cute, too. What a patient mommy she is.

Thank you for posting this link, I've seen the video but didn't have access to it for dh to watch. I recommend it to all my mamas that I work with as a doula. Drives me crazy when a mama says well I would have a hb if it was a single baby but it's twins... I just think of this mama!<br>
This as with all other uc stories and videos confirms my decision to bring this precious babe into the world my way!<br>
I don't think she is brave I believe she is a strong powerful woman who believes in her body's knowledge to birth!<br><br>
Watching it again gives me the idea to TURN OFF THE PHONE <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I just watched this and was struck by how NORMAL it was. A woman giving birth in her bathroom. It didn't even occur to me that it might not be considered appropriate in our society to attempt something like that until the video ended and I realized she birthed TWINS, in her bathroom, unassisted, with her toddler nursing on her as she labored, drinking water at her leisure and sitting on the commode.<br><br>
Damn. Now I REALLY don't want to use my local hospital maternity center for this birth.

Clara I'm not sure if she's a mdc mama or not but this video is widely recommended at least in our doula collective and with our local midwives. It is very popular! I've never seen it free online before we had to have the vid make the rounds in our community
