Dear Americans, your beloved President in in Australia at the moment for the APEC meeting. And the news headlines in my country were all about the "terrible" lunch he served himself to!!

He ate a plate with a nice juicy steak, some prawns and a few vegies. A so-called diet expert provided the commentary that he should have had half the meat, and preferably a salad or a pasta instead and, importantly, he was also missing the whole-grained bread.

To me, it seemed that he was eating healthily for his nutritional type. Some of us do better on meat and fat and from his reported comments, i.e., "I'm a meat kind of guy", he chose his lunch well.

I really wish our diet experts weren't so bl**dy ignorant. It could have been the perfect opportunity for a real diet expert to discuss how people's nutritional needs differ and how Bush had chosen natural foods to eat (rather than scary-flour commercial bread and pasta).

Okay, rant over. For those interested, here's the link:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/...783297799.html
