I am *this close* to bidding on a Didymos advertised on British ebay. Problem is that the seller has listed the size as 440 cm. A quick visit to the Didymos site indicates that it should be 420 or 470 cm. Do they shrink? Could a skinny person accomplish the size 6 carries with a size 5 wrap? Am I totally nuts for even thinking about buying this as we're still six months from TTC?

Yes, it probably was a size 6 that was shrunken down...they shrink very easily. Depending on your size, you may still be able to do all the carries, or all except for the wrap cross carry (although that is the one you would want to do with a newborn). Maybe if you posted your height/weight people of similar size can tell you if it worked for them (and you may try posting at TBW, there are a lot of petite Didy wearers there). And no, you are not crazy, if it's a great deal then go for it. Didys are awesome

Ditto what Karisa said! Didys are famous for shrinking or being a little off from the stated length. If it's a good deal-go for it!
Thanks, ladies, for not thinking I'm crazy. Officially, I'm not supposed to be buying baby gear until I'm actually pregnant, so just don't tell DP. :

We're both about 5'10" and 130 lbs, so long and thin. If the shrunken size 6 doesn't do it for us, we can always request a new one as a baby gift, right?

The opening bid is £9.99 (not quite $18 or so), but there's a reserve, so I'm not convinced I can afford it. I'm going to try, though!
