What do you ladies think about the name Lorelai? I really like the name as it has personal meaning to me but for the life of me, I can't think of a middle name to go with it?
I think it is a beautful name and back home there was a place called "The Lorelei" that my family used to go to all the time when I was little and when the last hurricane came through, it destroyed it.
Lorelai is such a pretty name. I think you have lots of options for middle names. What's coming to mind are two-syllable middle names that have the emphasis on the second syllable, like
Lorelai Marie
Lorelai Michelle
Lorelai Renee
Also, most one-syllable names I can think of go fine as a middle name.
I love the name Lorelai and if we have a girl this time would love to name her Lorelai but that's partly because I'm such a hugh fan of Gilmore Girls (and unfortunately I do not think my DH would go for that). So, I personally think that either of the following sound good (both from the show).
I think a one syllable name, both starting and ending with a consonant, would be good. For example,
-Rose
-Grace
-Rain/Rayne/Raine (I don't normally go for names like this, but it fits to me)
I really like all of your suggestions!!! I feel kinda silly not thinking of any of them but I guess I just need an outside opinion. Hubby isn't completely sold on the name but I REALLY have my heart set on it. He's set on McKenna and I think it sounds like a last name
:
I am really partial to Lorelai Grace or Lorelai Rose.
